Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It glows with some form of arcane energy.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

For some strange reason, Zenyi was never able to grow up. For the longest time, he thought it had to do with his magic—admittedly, he loved to play with his powers before he probably should have, which resulted into his frozen state right now. However, he has grown to love his form, despite it being relatively weaker. Still, he will stare after any fully grown magi in jealousy and wish that maybe one day, he could be like them.
