Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

Arcanum Vellum is the mate of Arcana Vellum. Both the dragons help Sevoftarta in his studies and they are both subordinates of Galhatea. Arcanum and Arcana came to life from the same enchanted parchment, broken in two pieces due to an accident. No one knows if this is the reason behind their love, since in their past life (as lifeless paper) they are only one entity. Anyway, they love each other deeply. Their names were given by Sevoftarta and come from their life-mystery.
