Serrati Wyverns are a fierce breed of dragon typically found in volcanic areas or in desert scrubland. With their keen vision, these fearsome predators can pick out well-camouflauged prey from the slightest movement. They are named for the double rows of serrated teeth that line their beaks, which allow these wyverns to maintain an unbreakable grip on prey while they tear into their target with deadly hooked claws. Though these dragons are combative with nearly everything, they are surprisingly well-mannered when raising their offspring in communal nests. Males, however, tend to be chased off as soon as eggs are laid.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Skavla has always believed that she found a reason to abandon the murderous ways of the Seragammas in a kind-hearted Purple who was loyal to a fault. There was something magical in the way he gave up everything for her sake. She hadn't meant to exploit his loyalty; not at first, anyway. After all, how could it be "manipulation" when he was perfectly willing. But her ambitions grew, and soon he became little more than a means to an end -- an end that was not the perfect, happy ending that Nylund had used to justify his own actions. Skavla sought power and dominance as all Seragammas do, no matter what sentimental mantra she repeated in her head as she mercilessly rose to the top.

Ultimately she was taken down by her own daughter and Nylund himself; the ultimate betrayal from the dragon who would rather die than see his family hurt. Skavla now is chained and isolated, so far from her perfect little world of power. Yet she still claims to love her family, in her own twisted way.
