When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Atlantia the loyal loved her owner, Ashikara, from the day she hatched, like no dragon in her cave ever had before. She felt a connection, a deep feeling that could not be explained by simple words. It was so very hard for her, being forced to live in the water, away from her dearest Ashikara. As she grew, she required more than just a pond near her owner's home. The distance between them was almost too much to take, but Ashikara understood Atlantia's feelings and does her best to see Atlantia every day. Ashikara finds her way to the lake every day to do some fishing, or to get some exercise by swimming, or even to just sit there on the shore near Atlantia. Atlantia loves this, but the more she grows the more she finds interest in new things. Though she feels drawn to her home, she enjoys the aspects of exploration and new lands. She is quite prone to squeezing her way up the narrow river to the ocean, and from there she likes to swim the shoreline, examining places so unlike her home.
