Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lelkim is a great hunter. He can stalk his game, by air or by land, and creep up on even the most alert animals. More than this, he is a fearsome warrior. None can match his prowess in his pack, which is why he has been the lead warrior in the Gold and Silver Dragon Pack for the past two centuries. He stands tall, as he is a millennia in age. He has been in his pack for the past 500 years, and has made many friends within. However, he will never be an Alpha. He does not have the needed ability to calm others, for as an Alpha, all come to them when there is a problem. He lacks the ability to paint a picture with words; his worth lies elsewhere, upon the field of battle.
