Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s extremely curious and seems to enjoy exploring the area around it.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Ffion was all set to follow in her mother's mighty steps, when she was caught in a magical mishap that left several FitzGibbon hatchlings forever children. Rather than grieve over what might have been, Ffion decided to make the most of her continued childhood. She can usually be found up to her snout in good-natured pranks and mischief.
