Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lord Boo is the faithful mate of Comet Aurum, a Gold. Born of a Lord, he is a Lord by inheritance and is always sure to keep all those rambunctious hatchies of his in line. He is never seen without his self-proclaimed Queen, and they can always be seen wrapped around each other under the willow trees by a lake. The waters keep their distance; they know better than to sneak up on the happy couple. Somehow, Boo and Aurum have only produced broods of Royal Blues. They are still waiting for that precious Gold daughter they are hoping for. Also, their descendants have inherited Aurum's speed, and they are always ready to race their father. In turn, their father always loses the race.
