Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Clockwork Sorrow was raised to love clocks; the almost-but-not-quite beautiful ticks, the silent-but-not-quite sounding tocks, the way the hands moved so quickly and yet accurately across polished surfaces, the way time kept on going on and on, often without anybody noticing.
He was raised to believe that time was both glorious and terrifying, a constant reminder of mortality on the face of the earth, and yet a constant way of counting the beautiful moments that decorated the glass face of life.
The apocryphal myths that surrounded his mother, Clockwork Anarchy, certainly carried over to his life. As a hatchling, he was constantly asked by the others whether he could stop time, whether he could speed it up, whether he was a demon or an angel, whether he could see into the past and future.
It stopped when he began saying yes.
