Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Once a fierce warrior, this male pursued nothing but justice in his younger years, chasing down and slaying all those he considered evil without ever pausing to consider if his methods were righteous or if there were a less bloody way in which to secure peace. All this changed, however, when his relentlessness led to the death of a young boy, murdered by the very 'innocents' the dragon thought he was protecting. Giving up his warrior's ways to pursue a quieter life, one in which he seeks the true meaning of justice, he now puts the magic he once used to end lives to work for saving them, serving as a most talented healer.
