Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

"You wander too close, stranger."

Being the only female among this clutch of dragons, as well as a Hellfire Wyvern, naturally makes Cobus their leader. Though not as violent as her wilder counterparts, Cobus is still quite an imposing dragon.

Found abandoned as an egg, Cobus developed a great distrust for most of her kind. Maybe it's due to her own experiences of abandonment, she protects her brood fiercely. Cobus has a deep attachment to them and would give her life to keep her small group of orphans safe.

Despite their constant bickering, Cobus' lifelong partner is Heironymous. Growing up together, they have only once come to dangerous blows and even then that was to determine dominance over their clan. Though she's pretty intimidating, it is only natural the hatchlings view Cobus as their Motherly figure.

Her telepathic voice is rough and incredibly harsh, which combined with aggressive choice of words makes Cobus quite a force to be reckoned with.
