Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Zalgavera was the Royal Menagerie's first white striped dragon, and an especially prized acquisition because of her beautiful markings.  She doesn't miss the freedom of the wild—her enclosure is very spacious, and any slight discomfort is more than offset by not having to spend all of her time hunting for insects.  Zalgavera might not be terribly fond of people, but she's willing to tolerate them, since she can tell that they mean her no harm.  She was glad when Paum arrived—not only would she no longer be lonely, but she had someone to entertain spectators while she retreated to her cave for a little while.  Now that she has children to entertain the menagerie visitors, Zalgavera might as well be invisible, which suits her well.
