As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Southern King of Night is one of the four kings that guards his cave. He guards the southern side during the night with his forever mate, Southern Queen of Night.  As the sun sets, the two take the places of Southern King of Day and Southern Queen of Day. They begin with a slow dance twining together as GhostHaze begins a low hum, rising from the shadows. He is joined by FadingHeart and they come into tune. The two spiral around each other as they rise. As they twirl, moonlight flies from their scales, illuminating the forest. Owls come out from burrows and join in with soft hoots. As coyotes come across the dance, they howl, their voice joining in. As the sun rises, birds chirp for the last notes, the forest left silent in awe. Their duty done, the two descend, returning to sleep. The few that have unintentionally heard the song have never been full again. Their soul was stolen from them and they walk in shadows now. Luckily, the song was intended to be heard tonight.
