Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Earth Elemental is a self-confident dragon, who alternates between being a male of few words, and a long-winded lecturer on the architecture of cave-construction. He is -- perhaps unexpectedly -- a very affectionate mate, and is difficult to irritate. The various hatchlings who stay in his territory often scamper through his underground maze, and when they get lost and wail for help, Earth Elemental will heave a great sigh, find them, pick them up in his powerful jaws, and deposit them safely in familiar territory. Then, with a yawn, he goes back to his hobbies of cave digging and meditation.
