Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Skalav is one of the many dragons that give StarSea's cave joy and spirit when Christmas time comes. Skalav is given the title Magic of christmas joy because he and his brother, Falavar, are the secret Santas. On Christmas night, when all the little hatchlings are dreaming their snowy dreams and the adults are checking their eggs before they too doze off, these two make magic happen. Snow falls from the cave walls, and mistletoe hangs itself high. Stockings gather on the lit fireplace and presents decorate the floor. Tinsel and lights thread through the many Christmas trees, but this isn't their true Christmas magic. The magic they really make happen, is bringing the others closer and breaking old grudges. They make everyone forget their fights and love spread through everyone's heart that day. The true magic of Christmas is within our own hearts.
