Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sometimes it is hard for Khoschei to remember who he was before the drums. He knew he was happy and loved. But that was so many centuries ago. The carefree young hatchling in his memories feels like another dragon entirely.

Now he wanders Valkemare, lost in the madness brought on by the never-ending drumbeat that echoes in his mind. He is sure of so little, only that so long ago he had a home and a family. But that home is gone, and every time he tries to make a new one he is chased away (but perhaps that has something to do with his overbearing personality; he does have a tendency to come across as a psychotic villain). There is one certainty in his life: a nameless traveling Whiptail.

The two were good friends back in Khoschei's hatchlinghood, and though they have since gone down separate paths, he firmly believes they can be friends again. Unfortunately his insane attempts have only succeeded in hurting the Whiptail and his companions, in turn widening the rift between them.
