Spirit Ward Dragons are a special breed that ward off evil spirits—at least, that’s what the legends say. During nighttime festivals, people love to see these dragons, because they believe that the dragons guard against evil spirits. The dragons are dark-colored, but glow with a flame-colored internal light that has an intensity that they control.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Apothecary, or just Apoth for short, is not just one of the group's healers, even though she has a surprisingly wide knowledge of medicines for her breed. Instead, she is more akin to a secret weapon, her dual nature earning her the title of "The Obscured Gemini".

Normally this Dragoness is a calm and quiet individual, happy to give advice to those in need of it, always with the additional dose of the sarcasm she is well known for.

However, in combat, she is a very different dragon. Cold, emotionless aside from cutting sarcasm, she does not hesitate to strike down an opponent, her medical knowledge put to a much darker use as it shows her exactly where to hit, which, combined with her nonthreatening appearance, makes her a deadly foe and one of the group's greatest assets.

Thing is, she isn't a killer. She prefers her opponents to stay alive, because after all, she's got to test her new medicines on somebody...
