Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Grenth acts older than her fellow earth dragons. Maybe it's because she just has a more mature view of the world. Maybe it's because she prefers taking care of her offspring over the inanities of the 'younger' dragons. As a result, Grenth is the matriarch of her cave, revered for her level-headedness and affection for the baby dragons.
