Grave Dragons are not named for their connections to death or burial, but for the grave expression on their faces. This strange expression is used as a defense mechanism that causes fits of panic and terror in potential predators. Since they only eat ash and charcoal, they do not hunt. Grave Dragons are powerful fire-breathers and have been known to burn down forests and villages alike to make meals. It is believed that the markings on each Grave Dragon’s wings are the faces of those who have lost their lives in fires started by that dragon.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Kzikin Light-Breather The Black breathes soot and smoke, covering the land with a shroud of darkness. He literally brings the night in the day. Because of this, Kzikin isn't allowed to leave the barren volcanic plains territories of his clan. Kzikin would endanger the fauna if he did leave. He tried to fix his breathing patterns but to no avail. He can kill with a single, toxic breath. He is always bitterly reminded of this when he either climbs a mountain or a volcano and sees the horizon, reminding him that there is a world out there that he hasn't seen or explored. Even though his territory is huge, it is still a prison no less. His fire is so scorching hot that he can burn boulders to ash. He always asks his friends to tell him stories of the other places he can't travel to. They sometimes give him presents and tokens of those places, which give him eternal happiness. He is best friends with Saraghina, Joshua graaff, Fionna Vesta, Vito Hiram, Deven Whitwell, and Edgar Topanok.
